Several people sustained injuries when a Delta Airlines aircraft originating in Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia was hit by turbulence on Friday morning.
Flight DL41 "went through a short bout of rough air" as it landed at the Sydney airport, a representative for the carrier informed. Four flight attendants required medical attention.
The New South Wales Ambulance Service stated they treated five patients, and transferred three to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries that included spinal discomfort and headaches. Those affected were between their thirties and seventies.

On board were 245 people and fifteen staff members on the aircraft, the Delta spokesperson said, clarifying that the plane landed "safely" at the airport at 6:48 a.m. local time on the day in question.
